JOB DESCRIPTION

Coordinator of Africa Baptist Mission Baord (ABMB)

Purpose of the Africa Baptist Mission Board:
The All Africa Baptist Mission Board (ABMB) is the arm of the All Africa Baptist Fellowship (AABF) through which all our Global Missions, Social Development, Aid and Relief activities are carried out. The ABMB Coordinator leads this arm of the ministry under the leadership of the General Secretary, AABF.

JOB SUMMARY
The Coordinator of ABMB hereby called ‘The Mission Coordinator’ is directly responsible for the overall strategic planning, human resources, program design and implementation, program support operations, safety and security monitoring and evaluation supervision, expansion/development, and required reporting for the ABMB. The Mission Coordinator plays a strong godly leadership role through a high level of strategic leadership and effective advocacy. Overall, the role of The Mission Coordinator requires a high level of organization, communication skills, and strategic foresight to drive impactful and ministry.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Mission Director manages the various programs ranging from Youth Mission Year, Last Quarter Evangelism, GO Movement, Short, Middle and Long-Term Missionaries sending, Mission Trainings, etc.
  • Coordinates the various Social Development, Aid and Relief Programs.
  • Help to develop the prayer lifestyle of missionaries.
  • Appraises the work of the various Missionaries and grants necessary supports within the official jurisdictions.
  • Coordinates Church Planting initiatives and carry out thorough assessment while also give necessary recommendations.
  • Coordinates and sees to adequate remunerations of everyone connected to the ABMB.
  • Ensure monitor, evaluate, and report on all program activities and progress to headquarter office and donors.
  • Report regularly to headquarters, providing timely updates of all operational situational and project management developments.
  • Fosters the relationship between the organization and the host communities of our various Mission fields.
  • Visit Mission fields, attend to emergencies where the need arises, cares for the general welfare.
  • Mobilize, equip, and network Mission Personnels of Member Bodies to take the Gospel farther within and outside Africa.
  • Align with global mission and social development organizations for effective partnership that makes the organization to be well positioned.
  • Initiate and organize Mission Conferences to stimulate the consciousness for Mission across the AABF Family.
  • Prepare, present, and defend reports during Annual Gatherings of the organization.
  • Communicate the activities of the ABMB to the communication department of AABF and other media platforms for improved projection.
  • Coordinate production of Mission Materials in different languages to foster the penetration of the gospel.
  • Complete any other assignment given by the office of AABF

WHO CAN APPLY
Anyone willing to serve God through the office of the AABF as a Mission Coordinator must meet the following qualifications:

Qualifications
  • Must be a born-again believer with a consistent prayer life.
  • Must love people and be selfishless.
  • Must have a passion for souls winning.
  • Must be aged 30 to 55 years old.
  • Must be a devoted baptist from an AABF member body in good standing with AABF.
  • Must know and understand the Baptist identity, principles, practices, unity, diversity, and structure.
  • Must hold a bachelor’s degree in theology.
  • Must be creative and innovative.
  • Must be an administrator, a team worker and ready to learn from others.
  • Must be a pastor with a missionary experience or a missionary with a pastoral experience.
  • Must be fluent in English with a working knowledge in French or fluent in French with a working knowledge in English (Knowledgeable in Portuguese is an added advantage)
  • Must be well abreast with the AABF / BWA ministry areas.
  • Must be ready to relocate and live in the area of the head office of AABF (currently in Ibadan, Nigeria)
  • Must be physically and mentally fit and able to work under pressure.
  • Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Must have an acceptable knowledge of ICT.
  • Must be a charismatic communicator and a mobilizer.

POST: THE FINANCIAL MANAGER

The ABMB Coordinator leads this arm of the ministry under the leadership of the General Secretary, AABF.

JOB SUMMARY
The Financial Manager of both AABF and ABMB is directly responsible for the overall financial strategy, mobilization and management of the All Africa Baptist Fellowship and The Africa Baptist Mission Board. The Financial Manager plays a strong godly leadership role through a high level of integrity and selfishness The role of Financial Manager requires a high level of organization, communication skills, strategic foresight to drive impactful and ministry.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fund raising Strategist for AABF and ABMB.
  • Process and cash management operations.
  • Hold primary responsibility for all financial operations
  • Maintains oversight of all accounting processes and controls
  • Directs the independent audit process.
  • Prepare and provide financial reports for AABF and ABMB
  • Manages Budget - guides annual planning process and lead staff in financial execution & stewardship
  • Maintains banking relationships and provide guidance on funds management
  • Provides timely monthly income and expense reports.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for external accounting firm.
  • Provides oversight of online giving (duplicates, statements, changes/questions, fund updates)
  • Monitors expenses
  • Verifies correct payroll and monthly retirement contributions before processing
  • Write and or review specific project proposals in line with the vision of AABF and ABMB
  • Sit in the committee of finance and investment of AABF
  • Keep records of every project of AABF Investment Platform
  • Advance and monitor AABF Investment Platform
  • Advance the communication of AABF and ABMB for mobilzation
  • Complete any other assignment given by the office of AABF

WHO CAN APPLY

  • Must hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or marketing.
  • Must show clear work experience within the financial spectrum (affiliation to recognized financial institution and or the management of finances within a christian body would be an added advantage).
  • Must be creative and innovative and master accounting softwares, spreadsheet, data, and financial analysis.
  • Must have a Proof of ability to deliver on critical thinking, strategic thinking, attention to details, collaboration skills, adaptability skills, communication, and interpersonal skills, problem solving, etc.
  • Must have analytical skills, financial reporting skills, financial principles and techniques, fund raising strategies and in-depth knowledge.
  • Must be an administrator, a team worker and ready to learn from others.
  • Must be fluent in English with a working knowledge in French or fluent in French with a working knowledge in English (Knowledgeable in Portuguese is an added advantage)
