...uniting African Baptist to fulfill the Great Commission

African Baptist Youth Day of Prayer 2026
Sunday, June 14, 2026

Beloved Co-laborers in Christ,
Warm greetings to you in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
The All Africa Baptist Fellowship (AABF) remains grateful to God for your unwavering dedication to kingdom service, discipleship, missions, and the nurturing of future Baptist generations throughout the continent of Africa.
As part of our collective commitment to spiritual awakening and youth mobilization, Baptist churches across Africa are encouraged to observe Youth Day of Prayer on Sunday, June 14, 2026. This was agreed upon by the Executive Committee of the All Africa Baptist Fellowship during its 2026 meeting in Madagascar.

This continental initiative is designed to strengthen the spiritual involvement of Baptist youths and to encourage intentional engagement with the mission of Christ both within and beyond the Church.
The objectives of this special emphasis include:
• Inspiring Baptist youths to embrace lives of prayer, evangelism, and discipleship
• Encouraging stronger youth participation in church life and kingdom service
• Deepening unity and fellowship among Baptist youths across Africa
• Creating greater awareness about the work and vision of the All Africa Baptist Youth Fellowship (AABYF)
• Raising a generation of spiritually grounded and mission-driven young Baptists
• Promoting Baptist heritage, identity, and values among young people
• Challenging youths to become positive influences in their communities and nations

We therefore encourage every National Independent Baptist Body, Association, Conference, and local church to give deliberate attention to this day and ensure the active involvement of Baptist youths in all related activities

Theme for 2026: ADVANCING BEYOND JERUSALEM - Acts 1:8

This theme reminds us that the Christian faith goes far beyond attendance at church gatherings. Every Baptist youth is called to represent Christ faithfully through godly character, spiritual discipline, compassionate service, and commitment to the Great Commission.
As Baptist youths across Africa reflect on this theme, they are encouraged to:
• Respond willingly to God’s call like Samuel
• Maintain conviction and purity like Daniel and his friends
• Influence society courageously like Esther
• Carry the Gospel beyond familiar environments
• Preserve and advance Baptist principles and heritage
Our prayer is that young people throughout Africa will rise with renewed passion to serve Christ sacrificially and impact the world around them.

Recommended Activities for the Youth Day of Prayer

Brief about the ACT2MOVEMENT

African Baptist Youth
Witness Path: Rise boldly to share your story of Christ with the world—because one testimony can change a life, and together we can transform generations for Jesus by 2033.
Neighbor Path: Your neighborhood is your mission field—shine the light of Christ through love, compassion, and intentional witness to those around you.
Bible Path: Stand in the gap through prayer and sacrificial giving to support Bible translation efforts so that every people group may hear and receive God’s Word in their own language.
Freedom Path: Rise as bold advocates for religious freedom—praying, speaking, and standing for persecuted believers so that every person may worship Christ freely without fear.
Care Path: Join the Acts2Movement and be part of mobilizing 1 billion acts of service by 2033—live the Gospel through love and action today!
As we approach the year 2033 and mark two thousand years since the birth of the Church, Acts 2 remains the divine blueprint for reaching the nations. The Acts 2 Movement represents the united mobilization of the Baptist family in prayerful expectation of a global Pentecost—one that brings spiritual renewal to the Church and advances a holistic witness of the Gospel throughout the world.
As African Baptist Youth gather for the African Youth Day of Prayer, the Acts 2 Movement reminds us that reaching the world for Christ begins with prayer, obedience, and action. Through the Bible Path, Witness Path, Care Path, Neighbor Path, and Religious Freedom Path, every young person is called to become a voice for the Gospel and a light to the nations.
As we approach this important day, may Baptist churches and youth fellowships throughout Africa unite in prayer and commitment to the advancement of God’s Kingdom.
May this occasion inspire a fresh generation of Baptist youths who will serve Christ faithfully, uphold Baptist convictions boldly, and take the message of salvation beyond Jerusalem to the nations of the world.
May the Lord bless every effort made toward the success of this continental youth day of Prayer.
