Rev. Dr. Elijah M. Brown (USA) is the General Secretary and CEO of the Baptist World Alliance (BWA). Founded in 1905, the BWA is a Christian World Communion that draws upon 400 years of shared Baptist history with 253 member bodies in 130 countries and territories representing over 51 million baptized believers and 176,000 churches.
Born on August 16, 1961, in Barakin Ladi, Plateau State, he graduated from Baptist High School Jos in 1978 and later earned multiple theological degrees: a Diploma in Theology in 1987, a Bachelor of Theology in 1993, a Master of Theology in 1995 from Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, and a PhD in Practical Theology from the University of Edinburgh. He served as Pastor at Christ Baptist Church, Lagos for 12 years and as Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church, Abuja for 22 years. Additionally, he was a Graduate Assistant for 2 years at the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary and is recognized as a speaker, book reviewer, and author of several articles and books, including "The Prayers of Paul." His accolades include various awards in theology and peace building, such as the Mandela Peace and Development Award.

Rev. Dr. Emmett Lafayette Dunn is a seasoned international leader, ordained and respected Baptist clergy, and passionate advocate for global mission and national development.
Dr. Dunn is the Executive Secretary and CEO of the Lott Carey Baptist Foreign Mission Convention, an influential global Christian missional community rooted in African American Baptist heritage. Appointed in 2019, he is the first non-U.S.-born individual to lead the organization in its over 127-year history.
The occasion took place on wednesday, 23rd July, 2025 in the presence of the President of Central African Republic, Faustin Archange TOUADÉRA. The fiftieth anniversary act was marked by the passing of the torch from the Patriarch, Pastor GBESSE, one of the founders of AEBEC, to the youngest Pastor of this denomination. Today, it is a new generation of pastors who will lead the denomination towards its centenary.
